Medical Misdiagnosis in the field of Reparation Insurance

Abstract

|
Corect diagnosis is essential not only for proper medical care of patients, but also important for the fair evaluation of disability.
Misdiagnosis is the result of misjudgement. Management of a certain situation can not be expected to be just and fair when it is based on misjudgement.
Misdiagnosis can be classified into two types. The first type is called innocent or unintentional one. This type is caused due to inadequage.medical knowledte on the part of medical doctor or exaggerated complaint by the patient. The second type can be called false or intentional misdiagnosis. This is the result of misguided human relationship.
Some of the cases reviewed at our committee are presented.
